Cole

I caught this great picture of Cole this morning. I just love his new expressions. He didn't like Bailey very much yesterday but was crawling around after her outside tonight.
Cole is such a sweet baby!

New Addition

We have a little bit of an announcement. We have a new addition to the Colin and Lori Croshaw family.......

Her name is Bailey and we just got her today. Lori was over at a friends house and she heard that a friend of a friend of a friend had a pug they needed to give away. They got her to keep their other dog company but it didn't work out like they thought it would. We have been talking about getting a pug for a long time and we told the kids we couldn't get a dog until we had a fence. Well, since the fence has been done they have been reminding us of that just about every day. Lori heard about this and got the lady's email and told her we wanted her. We were the first to respond, so we got her. We didn't tell Jack or Mia wer were getting her until after we got there and were playing with her. I wish we had video of it. It's the happiest day of their lives I think. She's about 1 year old and is already trained pretty well, which is a huge selling point (I guess it isn't a selling point if you don't pay is it?). Anyway, it should be fun.

Mia's music observation redeemed

Remember last year about this time when I posted how I won the worst mother of the year award? If not the jist of it was I got the time wrong for Mia's music observation and showed up 1/2 hour late. She cried, I sobbed, in front of her whole pre-school class. I watch the DVD now and it makes me want to cry all over again. Well this year Colin had the day off again and I got it right. We were able to watch some very cute kids and do a fun dance. Mia picked me to dance with her and it would have been so much better if it had been Colin.

Mia also had Orff, I am not sure what that stands for but here is a sample of what she learned.

Mother's Day

I had such a wonderful Mother's Day this year! I got to sleep in before church, Colin got up with Cole, the early riser. The kids didn't wake me up until 7:30. I felt so good. Mia made me such a sweet gift at school. She made beads out of Fimo, I think, her teachers baked them and then Mia strung them with little silver butterfly beads in between. It matches the heart lapel pin she made me for Valentine's Day. It is so pretty and I really enjoy wearing it. She is so proud. Colin bought me some earings, one pair from each of the kids and wrote me a wonderful card. Colin made cinnamon rolls too. We went to church where the men taught all the classes, dipped strawberries in chocolate and got wraps from Costco, and we were all able to go to Relief Society and enjoy the lesson. I think I got to take a nap that day. We had a nice dinner and Colin did all the dishes. I could get used to this kind of treatment. Alas, it has been a few weeks and we are back to the mostly evenings on my own with three kids who think that bedtime means act like a lunatic time and see how much you can make your mother CRAZY!!!! Thank you, my loves, for making Mother's Day so sweet and special. Thank you for making me a mother. I love you!

Easter Pictures.

It doesn't get any better than this. I am so blessed.

Happy late Easter everyone.

The Cleveland Botanical Garden

This is the piece that Mia and I worked on with her class. It is made of recycled materials. As you can see it is a spider web and a spider. We saw a friend from her school there.

Jack could have played in the sandbox all day.

At school Mia's class worked with a professional artist to put together a piece for their art show. It was today, Sunday, so we did not attend. It really makes me sad that I don't get to see it but I know I am doing what I know is right. They had the piece on display last Saturday at the Botanical Garden. The kids and I went to escape the hot water tank fiasco. We had a great time.

Jack loves his Browns hat. He wore it all day this day. It was very warm and both boys didn't feel that great. Jack just about fell in the little ponds they have about three times. He just has no fear.

Fence update

The weather and Colin's schedule finally got together. The Jack and Mia went to a friend's house and we started working. Cole was pretty cooperative and we finished the section pictured here. Mia and Jack got to help just a little. Mia did more posing for the camera and Jack actually was putting the screws in. We are very happy and so are the people that were walking by. Everyone commented on it. We are hoping the weather cooperates again this week. Colin has a few days this next week.

Easter clothes pictures to be coming soon. I hope.

Since we were traveling on Easter and sick last weekend the kids have yet to wear their Easter clothes I just had to get them. I keep thinking I could take the boys' back and they would never know. Jack would probably be happier. He doesn't like new things very much and he will probably complain and I think Cole's are going to be very big on him. I just hope I can get them all ready in the morning without too much trouble or wrinkles. I bought the boys linen. What was I thinking?
